Are you interested in a position as a Healthcare Recruiter? Below are some frequently asked questions about the Healthcare Recruiter role with Maxim.
What is Maxim looking for in a Recruiter candidate?
Maxim is looking for highly-energetic, sales-minded individuals that are hungry for opportunity. Candidates should be interested in taking the next step and growing with our organization through hard work, dedication, and determination. Applicants that work well individually or with a team and have the ability to multi-task typically succeed with Maxim.
How would you describe an average workday?
There is no such thing as an average workday at Maxim; no two days are alike. During your day, you may be doing one or more of the following:
- Recruiting and interviewing healthcare professionals
- Supervising external staff (healthcare professionals)
- Answering phones and troubleshooting with clients and staff
- Staffing current clients and coordinating schedules
- Negotiating with healthcare professionals and clients
- Assisting the Accounts Manager with branch sales
- Branch operations (sales, marketing, and financials)
The job description mentions a possibility of relocation. Could you explain that?
Relocation is not mandatory; however, more opportunities may present themselves if you are open to relocating. The Healthcare Recruiter position is the first step in preparing for a promotion to the Accounts Manager position. An Accounts Manager is responsible for all sales, operations, and leadership within a specific territory. Accounts Manager positions may become available outside of your current location.
What kind of training opportunities do you offer?
Upon employment, you are considered a Recruiter trainee. Maxim provides a formal training program that will explain the history and culture of the company, the healthcare industry, sales, management, and daily operational tasks. During this program, you will be given daily assignments and assessments to acclimate you to the company. The training is designed to be completed over the course of four weeks; however, it is self-paced. Throughout the training, you will become familiar with the clients and healthcare professionals that work for your office. Once training has been successfully completed, you will be promoted from a Recruiter trainee to a Recruiter. Additional trainings are offered as you advance in your career. What is the traditional time frame for promotion?
Promotions are strictly performance-based with the promotion from a Recruiter to an Accounts Manager happening typically between 18-36 months.
What does the office setting for a Healthcare Recruiter look like?
Maxim is a strong believer in constant communication; therefore, we do not use cubicles in the branch offices. We have a unique desk structure known as “The Pit,” where desks are arranged facing one another to foster open communication amongst Recruiters. Each branch office has an Accounts Manager who oversees a team of Recruiters, personnel/compliance staff, and clinical team (if applicable).
