The Disaster Recovery and Information Security Program Manager is a key function in IS, ensuring maintenance and continual improvement of the organization’s disaster recovery process along with the implementation and support of the Information Security program. The Disaster Recovery and Information Security Program Manager directs IT disaster response and crisis management activitiesincompliance withthe IT Disaster Recovery Plan. The Disaster Recovery and Information Security Program Manager coordinates and provides disaster preparedness training with respect to the organization’s information technologies and help ensure business continuity. The Disaster Recovery and Information Security Program Manager leads and oversees the IT organizations disaster recovery efforts to ensure they align with Maxim’s business continuity risk management program. The Disaster Recovery and Information Security Program Manager also leads the effort with implementing and improving Information Security Program initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensures disaster recovery plans, processes, and roles are in place across IT to ensure the integrity and availability of our company’s data, solutions,  services and technologies
  • Manages the design and implementation of our enterprise wide IT Disaster Recoveryprogram including policies, methodologies, sourcing strategies, plans, metrics and scorecards for all components of the program
  • Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the enterprise IT disaster recovery posture that ensures our resiliency for IT systems and  services
  • Helps develop budgets, policies and procedures to support the functional expectations of our disaster recovery plan
  • Ability to work and drive delivery across IT teams without direct management  authority
  • Ensures the disaster recoveryplan to recover our Data Centers(on premise and cloud) and associated applications and services, are up to date, tested, documented, monitored and provide rapid response and recovery to system events
  • Maintains a recovery plan for each Data Center that identifies all priorities, sequencing and dependencies
  • Ensures each critical application has an up to date recovery plan that has been reviewed and tested as part of a consistent operational life cycle. Briefs all participants in their roles for the preparation and execution of a DR test or event
  • Works with the Disaster Recovery teamsto train staff in disaster recovery for the execution of tests or events
  • Manages the logistics for a disaster recovery test or event. Mentors DR team coordinators and participants during tests
  • Builds strong DR capabilities and extend DR services to a greater percentage ofapplications and services
  • Partners and collaborates with Business Continuity management team ensuring the disaster recovery and business  continuity  plans drive  DR strategyand procedures
  • Establishes and maintains the overall plans for executing all DR procedures with a full understanding of interdependencies
  • Leads and coordinates all DR exercises, inclusive of tabletop exercises, simulated exercises and full DR testing.  Tracks and reports IT recoverability status, issues  and resolution
  • Regularly reports Disaster Recovery activitiesto upper   management
  • Identifies areas for improvement by working with the service owners to recommend changes to the DR strategiesand procedures for  their respective applications
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience dedicatedto disaster recovery operations and  management
  • B.S. in Computer  Science, Information Systems, or  relatedmajor or equivalent IS / business  experience
  • Experience establishing, managing and communication with Business Partners to cultivate strong partnerships.   Works  well with leadership
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques  and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk and business  impact  analysis
  • Experience managing large projects and cross-functional  IT teams
  • Strong  time management and organization skills
  • Strong analytical problem  solver with attention to detail and a strategic thinker
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead the testing of emergency response, recovery support, and business resumption  procedures
  • Requires excellent oral and writtencommunication skills  to convey plans, exercises, and  activities
  • Self-directed with good judgment on when to escalate
  • Proven ability to work under stressful conditions and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously such  as a business  related crises
  • Strong presence and leadership skills.  Calm and steady in a  crisis
  • Certified Business  Continuity  Planner (CBCP) or Disaster Recovery Planner accreditation is a plus
  • ITIL V3 Foundation  certification is a plus
  • MS Office  Suite, MS Project, Visio
